The Kumeu Beer Wine & Food Festival 2009 Saturday 14th February 2009. Kumeu Showgrounds, Access Road, Kumeu - 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM

The historic West Auckland district of Kumeu was originally settled by Croatian migrants who brought with them generations of wine-making heritage. Some of the oldest cultivated vines in the country are out this way and date back to the 1890s. Boutique Breweries have also developed and flourished in the area in recent years.

The popular Kumeu Beer Wine & Food Festival is all about a fun day out in the sun in a pleasant rural setting only 20 minutes from downtown Auckland. The Festival has become an established part of the Auckland social calendar come and enjoy the unique atmosphere!

The Festival showcases the Auckland region’s high achievers in the fields of cuisine, wine and boutique beer. At the same time it supports the vital work of the Auckland Branch of Epilepsy New Zealand and the New Zealand Epilepsy Assist Dog Trust.
