Changes at Liberty Brewing

Greetings fellow brewers. As of this morning, I have made quite a few changes at www.libertybrewing.co.nz.

 

The first things you'll notice are the new prices for all of the products across the board. Working out these changes was a fairly difficult process as we have a number of local and international suppliers, so exchange rates and supply costs need to be considered. Furthermore, I have changed the prices to reflect the rise in GST that will hit us in October (this is to say that in October our prices will not go up)

 

So basically, what this all means to the consumer is a new price structure. You will notice that there is no more SOBA discount, however the vast majority of our product prices have been decreased by between 9% and 15%.

 

I believe that the new pricings are more fair to all customers. Non SOBA members will notice the greatest savings - and SOBA members shouldn't notice any difference in their shopping. This does mean the our margins have decreased, and in October they will decrease by a further 2.5%.

 

Long story short... advertised prices are lower and the discount system has gone. This means that there is less wait time between when you place your order and when you have to pay: making a much easier shopping experience.

Sweet. Now you just need to carry a line of popular liquid yeasts and a range of equipment like Morebeer or Craftbrewer :-)

Make sure you're making enough money to make it worthwhile. I'd *much* rather see the prices go up a couple of dollars than to have libertybrewing disappear entirely! That said, sorry I haven't been pushing any business your way lately - still living in an apartment and the beer gear gets to go in storage during house hunting! My bro arrived in NZ, so he's going to be the lucky winner of it soon so we can have brew days at his house! :)

We've been considering this for a while - it's fair across the board, and in the long term - we shouldn't notice too much difference. We are trying to be a little bit more dynamic.

You'll have a blast doing this home brew stuff with your brother - I know I always did! I'm sure you're looking forward to it.
