Hand pumps at Dodson Street

Just got back from a quick visit to Blenheim and, as usual, pooped into the Dodson Street bar (the buildings where Renaissance are based). 

The whole bar/restaurant/building now have new owners - and resplendent on the bar are two hand pumps with a Young's Special and a Wadsworth 6X label.  Next to the pumps -  a sign that says "coming soon".

With The Old Bank about to serve Townshend cask ale it looks as if Blenheim is about to soon have two real ale venues.  Excellent.

Yeah, I was there when they put those in. Won't be on for another month as the owner is away for a bit - but I told him all about the Townshend goodness.
Renaissance might even bag/cask some beers for them...

My, that is good news. Haven't been to Dodson Street for a month or two, so another visit soon is in order. Not far from Picton, and aside from a very good Guinness we can only get decent beer in bottles here.
