Brass quick disconnect for hoses

A simple (and seemingly stupid) question for those using brass hose disconnects as I'm upgrading my hoses and thought I may as well upgrade to brass disconnects while I'm at it...

I assume you are just using a 1/2" to 3/4" converter/adaptor between ball valve and disconnect attachment?

I was using 10mm food grade hose (not really high temp tho), but have switched to 9.5mm silicone.
I am now using all Neta fittings - didn't like the way the screw (supercheap auto) ones would jam/clog up - have wd40'd and relegated to the garden.

Also - I don't use the supplied brass clamps - I have stainless hose clamps connected on all my hoses
