Looking at doing a keg set up, Is it cheaper and easyer to go with the brew craft setup or designing your own set up, and getting the bits from the likes of Craft brewer, etc?
Whats your thoughts?

Nah spare lid!! spare keg doubt that!!! even if my kegs are empty there still in use!!
Thread tape around the robber part of the relief valve worked a treat for me too. Saved me having to buy a new lid and two new relief valves.
Thanks again Jo.
Who here is using check valves in their setups? What type, where from and how much?

Am looking to build a manifold and am after the ones that are ball and check valve in one, but they look pricey.
What for??
Stop beer flowing back into the regulator. Has happened to me on a couple of occasions.

Am looking to build a a 4port/2x 2port CO2 manifold, preferrably with a check on each port. I'd rather have one on each outlet so that it stops the manifold filling with beer and contaminating the other kegs and making a mess.
Oh yeah I use one. Just get them from Norgen or blackwoods cheaper than a $70 repair due to sticky beer in the reg!!
I've got beer in the reg twice now, luckily both times I rinsed it out with water and let it dry, haven't had any problems yet - touch wood.
I use a dual pressure reg with one of these to give me three gas lines. I use a check valve on the non-split line.

I take it you already have a reg so don't want to buy a new dual pressure reg?
I've got two regulators at the moment, one standard dual-gauge micromatic at the tank and a secondary inline, so currently have two lines at two pressures.

Have just ordered that manifold, I'm sure I can make it work, haha, well I hope.
I use one of these non-return valves to protect the reg from beer. Not sure if that helps.
Yeah thanks, saw those, 4 of those ends up being like 120 just in non-return valves - ouch! Makes the 48USD 4-way manifold with check valves look cheap, from what I've found so far 30 bucks seems to be the going rate for check valves for this sorta thing.

Keen to hear/see what everyone else is doing in the way of check valves and/or manifolds.
Same its all you need
