I meant to get back to you about this before.... bit slack... sorry mate.
I use reinforced PVC hose - its 2 layers with a string mash in between them. Its food grade, and temperature tolerant, and only cost $2 per Meter for Blackwood Paykel. The only problem I have discovered with using this stuff is that the string in the middle later wicks up the wort and goes mouldy. So the best thing to do before you set your fittings into the ends is melt the plastic and try melt some if this string back. I think the string is actually nylon, so a soft flame for a few minutes without carborising the plastic should to the trick.
I havent got round to it yet - I love chancing fate with running fresh cooled wort through my mould laden hoses.
I use silicon but its very expensive, and hard (impossible?) to find in NZ. I also have some wire reinforced pvc hose that can handle 70 deg. I couldn't find pvc hose that could handle boiling temps...
I use silicon too, fucking expensive (got mine from MashMaster).
Just remember that even though a hose is said to be 'food grade' doesn't mean it's food grade at boiling temps. I would be sceptical that PVC hose is food grade at boiling temps, but I could be wrong.
Cheers guys. Went to Blackwood Paykel in Penrose. They were out of the hose you have JoKing, but there was another reinforced food grade hose there - see through and about double the price of your one. I bought 12m of 10mm hose - if anyone else is after some hose I will have plenty to spare.
