A couple of years ago... shed 10kg and had a pint or two every day.
Last year... trained for the 320km bike ride and had a pint or two evry day.
Moderation is key (sometime I over-moderate a little).
It's a fine balancing act Stu and different for everybody .. I'd love to drink a litre of beer a day, but i don't think I have everything else tuned that well ...
yeh... you're right, no doubt about it. I might have another beer and think about it a little more. Nothing is very well tuned out here at the moment. We're all sick and tired. But at least the wee one is a week into sleeping through (about 12hrs).
I concur. I consider my daily pint (or 2) to be not a want but a necessity, like water, sleep and amongst other things a cup of real coffee in the morning. I don't feel unhealthy because of this but I rarely indulge in excessive consumption to the point of oblivion, in fact I can;t remember the last time that happened, simply because I don;t enjoy it. What I do enjoy is the taste of great beer....daily. A friend of mine didn't drink for a month as a bet. I'm sure the strain this put him through took years off his life.
Six or seven years ago I didn't drink for six months out of stubborness... what a waste of six months. I suppose I have a story. And know what it is like to watch other people get tipsy, every week.
My Problem is that I for one love beer!!! all beer any region any country you name it I want it!! So im like a beer junkie and im happy to admit it. The problem is I try to drink good beer, I have one good beer and its like an explosion or an eruption of taste I finish it but the mouth is salavating for more great taste!! If the beer is shet im more than happy to tip it out!! Im Happy with my level (consewptian) but I do need to exersice more!!
I just had my Alesmith IPA. I went to Beerstore immediately to order the rest of them but they have sold out.
A W E S O M E ! ! ! ! Better than Pliny? Maybe. The hop flavour and bitterness is all more perceived but it may not be quite as sessionable.
Anyway, in lieu of Alesmith IPA, I've ordered:
6 x Sierra Nevada Porter
3 x Sierra Nevada Stout
1 x Russian River Blind Pig
1 x Russian River Pliny the Elder
1 x Rogue Shakespeare Stout
Thanks Daniel! It's nice to have a little influx of American beers. I wouldn't go over the top and say I'd buy them all the time but it is really nice to see them here and I hope they continue to come in once or twice a year.
Now for some Crouch Vale (because I know they are great) and some BrewDog Paradox (because the word is that they are great).
