Pale ale gladfield malt preference?

What is everybody's preferred gladfield base malt for pale ales, the standard pale ale base or the american pale base? 

I havnt experimented enough to differentiate.

I found American pale malt gives less malt flavour to the pale ales. I prefer more rather than less so use pale malt, other than that found no difference.

Agreed with Jonathan, although I'm at the other end of the spectrum - I prefer less malt and more hop flavor so use the american pale.
