indeed you could, however have a read of the link above, it explain an interesting dry-hopping concept usingthat and a dip tube screen to filter hops out . basically you rack using co2 or whatever to a keg, and dryhop in that keg, before transferring via CO2 again from one keg to your serving keg

I guess that prevents the hop character from changing during the lifetime of the keg? My solution, drink it all really quick.

So essentially, if you have a conical you dont have to do this?... Sounds like a bit of faffing about..

Well yeah, if you have a conical that works.
but for those too stingy to spring for one, this would be the way to do it, all under co2 pressure, meaning those hoppy beers don't get exposed to oxygen at all, and preserving the original hop aroma, and in theory it would also last slightly longer as well.
