I'm upgrading my brewhouse to larger vessels and getting a purpose-built stand made by Chris Banks and this will result in some surplus brewing gear. I'll be listing it on TradeMe, but if anyone wants to inspect it or ask questions I'm happy to answer or let you call round to take a look.

To be offered:
1 x Farra 50LSBB set up (three-tier gravity fed system) made in 2010. I've modified mine to include a hole in the kettle lid for more efficient boiling and boil-over prevention, a hole in the MT lid to limit heat loss while sparging, insulation for the MT, and removed the supplied counter-flow heat exchanger. I use a Blichmann plate-chiller now and recommend you use something like this too (James Holly of INI can supply). All of the ball-valves have been cleaned and re-packed with food-grade lubricant and the hoses will be supplied in brand-new thick-walled silicone. The MT has an additional 2-ring burner for ramp-mashes and assisting with heating strike water. I can supply the kettle with a male camlock should you wish. There's some wear and tear to the pots and lids, but I've been very careful to keep this in very good condition. It does work rather well and I've put more than 50 brews through it.

1 x 90L BBH Mash Tun. Supplied with 25mm Formshield insulation (you will need to provide strapping to hold in place). I love this MT - Chris does awesome work and it is easy to break down and clean and the 3-piece ball valve is configured so the bolts don't fall out when you take it apart for cleaning.

So these should be available in early November if all goes according to plan.

Hey Chris

I am definitely an interested party, depending on what sort of prices you are thinking of. Are you at that stage yet?

Cheers

Mike

I'll let TradeMe bidding determine the final pricing and pick-up would be preferred as freighting these around will be a bit un-fun. I'll be starting the Farra 50LSBB at $3,250, and the 90L MT at $450 (no reserves on either).

If circumstances change I may hold off on listing something as this is all dependant on a new, un-built brewhouse.

Cheers. I'll keep an eye on it. Level of interest also depends on other factors, but you never know how it will work out.

I'm interested too and would then list my current keg based system if anyone wants that assuming I was successful.

The 90L BBH MLT has been sold.

The Farra50LSBB is now listed on TradeMe: www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=541295483

I hate being poor :( really want the Farra!!! such a nice setup

Everything mentioned above is now sold.
