Just enjoyed a delicious bottle of Emerson's Oatmeal Stout and am inspired to attempt one of my own.

Thanks Mate, looks luscious. BTW who does a good line in liquid yeast round Auckland? Assume Mike at Brewers Coop?
Mike doesn't do liquid. Really for english ales I don't think there is a dry subsitiute.

Pretty much have Gervin (Nottingham), SO4, or Muntons, I don't think any are a substitute for 1968

You can order liquid via realbeer every few months or bring some in from Grain and Grape, Craftbrewer - Australia or MoreBeer US.
I was just surfing the net to all the usual online HB stores and noted that DMH has Wyeast online.....

Just brewed this recipe on the weekend.  Hit the original gravity of 1.048 and fermentation went like crazy the following day.  However it seems to have stalled at 1.025 after two days, and has stayed there (today is the 6th day).  It has been at 18 degrees for the whole ferment. I used Windsor dried yeast which is supposed to be pretty similar to ESB.  It tastes pretty damn good out of the fermenter, and not particularly sweet

I think I'll try and bring it up to 20 deg.  Any other ideas?

Cheers
