What are you brewing?

Since this is the most popular thread on the RealBeer.co.nz forum I thought I would start it here just to see what happens

I asked Mike at Brewers Coop and evidently there's none available - the brewery pre-orders have taken up the entire stock so unless there are some cancelled orders, we won't be getting our hands on any.

I pre-ordered 5 kilos, but might have left it a bit late. I can get some flowers any time if anyone's keen, but not pellets.

This years harvest has been sold already and there might be some left over for us homebrewers, but I wouldn't hold my breath. If I end up getting that 5kg, I will definately sell the lot to homebrewers.

Maybe I should buy some now while it is available. What is the best way to store them? I have just been squeezing the air out of the bags and keeping them in the fridge...

What is the best way to store hop?
Put them in a sealed bag and freeze them.

Yeah I preordered 2 kilos of Riwaka and a couple of other bits a pieces.... no word yet so I guess I'm shit out of luck.

I did manage to come across a pack of Riwaka at my local HBS so I sold my kidney to buy it...

PS. Might be easier to buy Riwaka in from AU!!!

That's OK for me, I've gone off Nelson Sauvin. I only use it for bittering now.

Sauvin and I are on a break. I've even stopped buying beer that has any noticeable Sauvinness.

Riwaka will be missed though...
