I have decided I ned a pump. It needs to pump boiling wort and be sturdy. Flowrate, maybe 5L/min or so, maybe less can do it, I don't know...? I would like to be able to whirlpool with it eventually.

Craftbrewer has got a couple but with shipping that will probably get pricey:

Can I get something like this locally?

What do you guys use, is it good and where can I get it?

Cheers

What is the minimum flow rate for that pump Mike? I see about 10 litres per minute is normal for a march pump.
Dont know 0 I take it when I turn the valve to off, I know Jo restricts the flow with no dramas, I have only just purchased it yesterday. I have his in action and tasted his beer he makes with it and it has no detrimental effect on it.
Where did you buy your pump Mike , what sort of money ?
$150 to my door trade me, As per link on prior page, Just hit buy now I imagine I still need to spend 30-40 on fittings but you would still need to do that with a march pump also.
Hey Mike, Can you let me know where/what fittings you source as I might get myself one of these too. Chur.
will do I have the reciept in my van If you have a mastertrade around you I can give you the SKU's and flick them that and your set!! I will get them to you as soon as the 3 tonne of plaster are off them!!
You can use this for fly sparging then?
I use mine for everything - including sparging.
I have both SS and brass in my gear.

SS is best and I would prefer to use it everywhere if it was not for the cost. However if you treat brass right it will be just as good (i.e. ensuring you have cleaned the brass to remove lead deposits etc).
Thanks MIke, that would be handy as.
Just breaking mine in as we speak this is stupid easy, its almost boring!! oh well more time to do other things such as?
