Sealant for Lauter Tun

I am making a 40 Litre Lauter tun out of Chilly bin. I need to seal the tap at the bottom of the tun with something. I have looked at a range of Sealants at the hardware store but dont really know which one is most appropriate?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

My Aquarium grade sealer that i used all those years ago is still delivering the goods without problem. Got it from a hardware store for about $16 if a remember correctly. Still got heaps of it left if anyone wants it (see above, about 2 years old!),

i use a silicone washer and rubber o-rings.
seems to do the job for me rather well.
