Hi all,
Would anyone be interested in two Perlick 630 stainless steel taps. Now surplus to requirements. I am in the process of putting together a serving fridge with three taps. I have decided to replace the 630's with the 650ss (flow control)
One is unused the other hooked up to try out.
Offers around $75 each?
Cheers Dave.
Great setup. Nice how you integrated the STC1000. Where do you store your gas bottle - in the fridge or external?
It is external, I was able to feed the pipe through with one of the coolant hoses.
can you take another picture of the gas manifold and talk me through your thinking..... re carbonating then serving beers
I wanted to try and keep things as simple (and cheaply) as possible.
One of these would have been just the job but the price was a bit out of my league.
I found the manifold you can see from here. It is simply a hollow square tube with threaded holes.
Works perfectly the only thing I wasn't expecting was that "extra" hole on the top which didn't come with a fitting. Fortunately I had that gauge which I purchased a while ago intending to upgrade the gauge on the low pressure side of my regulator but it didn't fit.
The main Co2 enters from the right and is distributed accordingly. I have blanked the left most fitting for now.
With regard to carbonation and serving pressure. I'm not a fan of super chilled and over carbonated beer. I have found that somewhere around 6-8 psi at 10 degs C provides enough pressure to serve and will carbonated the beer after about seven days to my desired level.
I really like that setup and at $15 I am sold... where did you get the pressure guage?
The Gauge was from http://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/gauge30psi.htm
I bought it along with some fittings and the RIMS tube.
