Reminds me of a mate of mine that built a brand new deck and decided to christen it by getting a few mates around for a BBQ. Getting chilly later so he put some bricks on the deck and a steel plate on top, then lit a fire on it. Next morning he removed said inceniary device and found he'd burned a hole in his new deck.
Worst of it was when his other volunteer firemen mates found out about it :-)
