I'm just wondering why you would Google Sweaty Passion?? Maybe thats best kept to yourself and we'll just enjoy the beer eh? ;)
It was the name for my beer, why wouldn't I google it? It might become clearer when you try the beer...
I have been enjoying a lot of sweaty passion lately, I cant get enough. Had some friends over last week and there was a veritable orgy of sweaty passion, until the keg blew. By that stage the party was really rocking so we moved onto the cleveland steamers, good times.

Sweaty Passion, Cleveland Steamers....I,m sorry I missed it!!

After all the talk of Sweaty Passion I had to give this a go first.

Had a bit of chill haze because I left it in the fridge for a couple of day. Had a really nice peachy/passionfruit aroma and I got a little bit of a biscuty undertone from the malt as well. It was a nice compliment to the aroma in mind. Has a kind of sharp bitterness which wasn't really to my liking. It lingered around for a quite a while and tastes more than 35 IBU. Maybe coming from the hop combo but I could taste the Moteka on the palate where as the Nelson Sav was more on aroma. Well made beer with no off-notes but just a little too lingering in the bitterness area for me.

Cheers for your feedback, much appreciated! There's definitely a bit of haze there, I'd like to think its a combo of hop resins and chill haze ;)

I'd hazard a guess that the 35 IBU is an underestimate, but that's what promash spits out. For my taste the balance is pretty much spot on, I didnt' get any lingering bitterness from the keg. Unfortunately I have finished my 2 kegs of this beer now and I don't have a reference bottle to go back to. When I kegged it the passionfruit was almost overwhelming!

Shared this one with my wife, she doesn't usually like hoppy beers but got through this one reasonably quick and she says: "mmm fruity".

Poured a slightly hazy pale copper colour. Wonderful tropical fruit flavor/aroma and a crisp hop bitterness which I really enjoyed, just enough malt to support without being too thin. Is this US05 ? I detected that same aroma in the background that I get off US05 beers which I picked up from barry's beer aswell, I wish I could find the words to describe it.

Reminded me of alot of Hopwired...a younger brother perhaps. Very nice, thanks Haish !

S05 indeed, well spotted. Cheers for the feedback!

Pours a slightly hazy gold, with a tight head that subsides reasonably quickly. Aroma is all luscious tropical fruit with some citrus in behind. On the palate it's awesome, a great fruity hop smack with caramelly malt to back it up and a really firm bitterness that balances the whole thing nicely.

Well brewed Haish, I really enjoyed this and would very easily have dealt to several more bottles if I had them. Cheers!

Just got home after working 12 hours on a fusion jazz gig, and (naturally) I'm in a shit mood.

Anyways I need a beer!

Appearance: Deep golden, hazy. Looks like my kind of pale ale! Head didn't last long but I don't really care about that stuff.

Aroma: That's NZ hop fruity goodness. I thought 100% Sauvin, turns out not!. I'm excited, and want to drink it!

Flavour: Perfect bitterness for my money, some sweet malt in there, did you mash a little higher or that the caramalt etc coming through? Shit I love golden promise though huh?

Mouthfeel: Firm carbonation, for my money it might actually be nicer slightly under-carbed, but then I've been drinking heaps of warm flat Crouchers (delicious!) recently.

All in all, this is the sort of thing I love to spend all night drinking, I wish I had another (6!). Thanks bro

mood lifted :)

A classic NZ pale ale. Aggressive bitterness, tropical/temperate fruit, big balancing caramel malt character, very drinkable. I got a bit of diacetyl in there, which would probably see it miss out on any "new world" or american-style medals in competition, but it wasn't enough to stop me enjoying my evening of sweaty passion. It just made it feel like an English/NZ pale ale.

Nice drop, great label...

Slainte mhath!
