thanks for the feedback Matt, it wasnt the undercalculated bitterness that was harsh in the background was it?  cheers dude. \m/

No worries. It could have been that, there's been plenty of beers since so it's a little blury now sorry. By the way that last part of my post was meant to say "enjoyable beer all the same".

cool. cheers for the swap.

The computer just ate my reply. Uncool. But it went, a little something, like this:

Great appearence out of the bottle. Excellent clarity with a bit of head after a reasonably agressive pour. Settles out quite quickly with the gentle carb and leaves a nice lace.

Aroma had clove, orange and lemon. Tast had a pepperyness to it with fruit flavours of orange peal and papaya. the spicyness might be what some people have noted as phenolics? Richard also asked the question about a warm ferment? Strong bitterness in the finish which reminded us of the euro-largers. backed up with a clean, dry finish.

I drank this without hesitation and enjoyed it. I think the hop flavours ended up a little subdued thoughout but well brewed and refreshing.

Cheers,

Jimmy & Richard.
