Labelled I.H.M.L on the lid! Nice simple recipe, the malt and yeast really shine through. I like this yeast - Wyeast - West Yorkshire 1469.
Been in the bottle 3 weeks now so good to go straight away. My only thought would be to up the late addition hops for a bit more of a resiny taste.

Nice night for a bitter as the fire roars away and the kids are in bed.
I let mine hit Auckland winter cellar temp and poured into my favourite pint glass to get the full experience.
Crystal clear amber gold with a persistent thin head beautifully capping the beer - looks the biz.
Caramel malt and a hint of hazlenut nuttiness in the aroma. I've had 1469 beers before that have this nutty thing going on - and here's another one - nice!
The smell of malt seems greater than the flavour to me, with more of the late hop spiciness in the mouth. This is a delicate and nicely balanced little bitter - perhaps a little thinner, dryer and flinty in the mouthfeel than I'd usually like but very good nonetheless. A light lingering malt aftertaste persists
Well brewed Michael, and here's a BIAB beer that has the clarity nailed - what have you done to get these results?

Hi Michael - great name for a beer I have to say.
Appearance - Light golden brown with a slight haze. Lower carbonation than Tilts bitter but right for the style. The head disappeared pretty quickly on my pour.
Aroma - A slight Goldings aroma comes through but more a malty aroma.
Taste and Mouthfeel - Got a small zing bitterness which didn't overpower the malt.
I drank it in an English dimpled glass on a cold, wet night - so trying to emulate the UK environs! I'm a personally not a big bitter fan but it was a good drop.

Poured off the yeast carefully at "celler" temp.
ap - Clear, low carb. spot on.
aroma - mild caramel and orange with an earthy english hop thing going on. Very nice. Touch of diacetyl in there as it warms, but doesn't detract.
Flavour - prickly bitterness, lovely mouthfeel, about spot on where I'd want the body to be, with some nice malt sweetness balancing the bitterness.
Well brewed mate, I wouldn't mind a keg of this
Edit to add - on the second glass and I'm noticing quite a bit of mineral character in the finish, and I'm curious if you do any water additions?

Any chance you can let me know what your ferment temp/schedule was? I just finished up a bitter with the same yeast, and I'll be tasting it soon enough. just interested to see what temp differences were in place.
Just pooured this out, man its friday and I'm thirsty.
I've been looking forward to this, as I've just kegged a Best Bitter with this yeast, in prep for an English Brown Ale...
Appearance, Relatively clear, very sliught haze, pours low carbed golden amber. nice Looking traditional bitter, as expected.
Aroma: Ummmm, Nice nutty malty aroma, hops not present
Flavour: The Interesting taste people are suggesting, comes off to me as almost a band-aid taste? As it has warmed it has dissipated, I actually on first taste thought there was some smoked malt in there. Obviously theres not. but it was interesting.
mouthfeel typical bitter, low carb nice feel to it, refreshing as well,
Overall: I believe there may be a ferment or sanitation issue here? I lived in Yorkshire for a few years, and got to try plenty of beer that were listed with this yeast, and never got a taste like this, funnily enough I've had a beer with this in the keg for 5 days. so if I get this type of flavour we will see. I'm not complaining though, it's still a tasty beer.

After an unexpected trip away am back to the party a little late.
Poured very clear, nice head which dissipated quickly.
Was from the fridge, so not ideal, my mistake. Seemed overly carbed, even when too cold, which is different from other notes.
Aroma was malt dominated.
Taste nice rounded maltiness, (something to chew on?), balanced bitterness, but no hint of any late hops, a victim of storage I'm sure. There was something not quite right in the aftertaste, not sure the high carbing helped in my bottle.
Think I missed this one at its best, its been a while since it was bottled. Thank you though,
