Beers Around Town

Thought I'd just update you on beer availability around town.

Pomeroys in Kilmore St have a good tap range. In addition to the Harringtons beers they have Emersons Pilsner, Tuatara Hefe, Invercargill Pitch Black and Smokin Bishop for a limited time. Beer of the month at the moment is Captain Cooker from the Mussel Inn & for October is Yeastie Boys Pot, Kettle Black (the hit of Beervana). I also slip the odd Emersons Brewers Reserve in there - be quick, Smokin Gun lasted only 2 days!!!

The Thirsty Weta you have mentioned - 8 taps all constantly rotating and a Brewers Reserve occasionally too. You can get the curry from upstairs bought down

Bar 1066 at the Edgeware end of Colombo St have Bookbinder on tap.

Zymergy in Armagh St (opp the Vanilla Ices van) have 5 Emersons taps + 5 other beers that rotate. They are under pressure from the big boys to head 'mainstream' so need some support. It's there 1st birthday this weekend so feel free to head in. I'll hopefully have Steve Nally from Invercargill in there from 3-30 to 5-30 this Friday.

Supermarket-wise Halswell NW is a beaut. Fresh Choice Barringtons and Parklands have a decent range and NW South City & Stanmore are growing too.

Would be good to plan a catch-up with all Mainland folk -

Some of these we want, but can't source. Can you please take a look at these bottles, and tell me if there are any markings on the bottle that indicate who the importer is? Usually there will be a sticker somewhere, as it is a legal requirement.

Wow, to think I had no idea of this place. Just detoured around to there and picked up Fullers ESB & Porter, Black Wych & Red Dragon. I almost died when I saw the long shelf of beer... and I think I just doubled my student loan...
