Hey Christchurch Heads.

Just an idea but I've had a look in our LHBS and it appears that the price of a kegging system is well over inflated.

If any of you are keen to get into kegging, it'd be cool if we could use this thread as a place holder for any bargains or bulk buys that we might run.

Just a thought,
One way of cutting down on startup cost is by using one of these
http://www.craftbrewer.com.au/shop/details.asp?PID=924
combined with a sodastream co2 bottle. (i have 3 to make sure i dont run out).
Its def more expensive for gas, one full bottle ($7.50) would carbonate and serve 2 kegs.

Also i found a good place on ebay to buy taps, disconnects etc
http://shop.ebay.com.au/merchant/beerdispensing_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1...
they offer free shipping on the tap for AU$50, i can vouch for the tap being good quality and it arrived within 6 days.

Cheers
Brendan
I bought my set up from Dunedin Malthouse a couple of months ago for $400 ish (2 kegs, regulator, QDs, beer gun) which I thought was pretty good at the time (wish I had looked at ebay!).

I think Paul @ Linwood Yourshout was doing kegs for $90 (ish), otherwise Stephen @ Hallertau is $70 + shipping ($30).
