Whitelabs yest

Has anyone had experience ordering whitelabs yeast? wheres the best place to get this from? Any troubles with shipping from overseas?

I used to get whitelabs all the time. My main supplier was morebeer.com... but then shipping costs were OTT in the end. The most I ever paid was $15 for a tube... and this was ordering them 6 at a time.

In the not too distant future, I'm going to be looking into supplying white labs yeast to homebrewers in much the same way as WyEast is currently supplied through this website... hopefully there wont be a conflict of interest!

What strain are you after in particular Alex? Maybe we could suggest a suitable WyEast alternitave found available right here.

If you look at the White Labs site they list an outlet in New Zealand:

The Brew Shed, Glen Eden.

Not one I've heard of.

Interesting that Dunedin Malthouse are now importing Wyeast.

Yup, same as Joking, but with current exchange rates and a hike in shipping I haven't ordered in a while.

Now I'm getting the equivalent WY strains through realbeer.co.nz or craftbrewer.com.au on the off-season.

Well Just Ordered Wlp001 and Charlies Cry Havoc from more beer all the talk of it made me wounder what these yeast realy are like
