$50+GST / month
Is there anyone out there in the Auckland region looking to offload:
1) Two un-cut SS Sanke kegs for use as fermentors. Spears not required.
2) A reasonable quantity (approx 1 kg) of old stale hops. Preferably noble-ish but not too picky. I'm trying to source some for a lambic.
Any offers or leads welcome. Thanks!

your best bet in the Auckland Region for 2nd hand kegs is

these are a 50L version of the typical rubber corney keg and will be fine to work as a fermentor
Hey thanks for the lead but...already tried them. When I spoke with them they said they have "maybe" a few of those Hoover kegs around but that they would have to have a look. I inspected these kegs about three months ago and most of them were fire damaged. They are waiting for a shipment from Lion breweries but they could not give me an indication of when that may be.
Speights in Dunedin do sell them. They are $30 for the hoover ones and usually $40 for all stainless steel but they never have those so you usually only get hoovers. If you call they may courier you some up. I just rang the brewery directly the last time and they had some ready for pick up in a few days.
Thanks. Dunedin is a ways away from me up here in Auckland but I'll take your advice and try and hot up a couple of the breweries up here. Cheers.
Hi Max,
Sorry for the delayed reply! I've been busy recently and have not been on the forums for a while. I would be keen if you have any leads. I'm feeling sort of demoralised after loosing the last 2 trade me auctions I've been bidding on! I'm happy to pay fair market value which seems to be about $100-150 for a good condition keg.
Cheers.
Hit it up. I'll also get back to you in a few days, I've bought some kegs off that guy and might be shuffling a few around (and thus might have a spare or two).

Yeah seen those beauties! They look awesome. Unfortunately, I'm in Auckland and they're for pickup. If you're near the Auckland region or game on shipping a keg or two then lets talk!
Cheers!
You could try

I emailed him a while back and he reconed he would have some old ones soon.
