using frieght forwarding for purchasing gear from the states?

I was looking at buying some mills from usa. I remember reading in the electric brewery website his recommendation of using freight forwarding services in the states which save heaps on delivery cost to where he is in Canada. Does anyone do this to deliver to nz?

Hey mate. I recently got some car bits sent over from the US via container using Kiwi Shipping (http://www.kiwishipping.co.nz/). The itemised customs/MAF costs were almost enough to scare me off when quoted, though when it came down to it the company took care of all this for me anyway and I just had to hand over the final sum. I would use them again, though communication couldve been better when I wanted to know the status of the order...
