I know that ideally once we keg a beer it should be put in the kegerator but now I have 5 kegs I don't have enough room. I want to get ahead of the game so as a keg empties I have a new one ready to go in. Can these kegs that are waiting to go in the fridge be stored ok at room temp? I can't see it being any different to storing bottled beer at room temp so what's the difference?
Secondly if it is ok to store like this should they be given a quick squirt of gas before storing or at least a couple of days under pressure, or carbonated fully first then stored away? I guess bulk priming with sugar in the keg is another option, would you still give it a quick hit of gas to purge any oxygen though?
