Slant Trade

Anyone interested in yeast slant trade? Sick of paying $20+ for a new strain. 

Pretty keen to get my hands on anything wheat, anything saison or anything lager. 

In trade I have 1272, 1275, 1968, 1007 and 1332. 

 

On a side note, what is the best way to send slants? :)

Whats a slant? Like a vial?

Yup, it's a vial with yeast stored on wort based media.

2278 would be cool. I reslanted a few weeks ago for the first time. Do I have anything you want?

yeah the 1332 looks good

I have 2278 and 2000 . Good idea as these are price and easy to cultivate

only concern id have is making sure that none is bad or damaged in transit

mmm... I think if they are well packaged and couriered overnight they should be sweet. I'd re-slant the same day they arrive anyway to get a few copies ready for the library.

What sort of viles or containers do use for slants.  Presently I just use small jars that have been pressure cooked with wort media.

I use vials from proscitech.com.au (think I found the site on realbeer somewhere?). They were pretty expensive but couldn't be happier with them.

i'd be keen for a future trade, i have 1010 and 1728 that i need to slant as they're still in the smack packs at the moment
