My OG was 1.052 my FG is 1.017. Does this seem like its under attenuated? Recipe said OG was 1.050 and FG 1.013

Thanks

1.017 doesn't sound too bad but all depends...

Can you post the recipe?

What was the malt bill?

Did you use liquid malt extract?

What yeast did you use, how much and did you note the expiry date?

Yeah 1017 isn't too bad depending on grist and yeast strain like MrC asks.

Eg my American Amber ales will finish 1.014 - 1.018 depending on the OG, but if it's a light lager or cream ale I'd be a little worried...

The most important question is how does it taste?

The grain bill was 5kg Golden Promise and 250g Pale Crystal.

No Liquid Malt extract

I used SO5 and the expiry date is 2013

It has been fermenting for a week today. It tastes real good. So it'll definitly be consumed haha. My last batch had real attenuation issues didnt go below 1.030. Im wondering if im doing something wrong. But im not sure what that could be. I give it a real good shakeup before i pitch the yeast and pitched it at 21 degrees
