Don't know if I should be embarrassed about this or not.  I have a suspicion that my beer might be getting an infection.  I transferred it to a secondary the other day, went all sweet.  Then I was cleaning the primary I noticed there was some mould growing under the lip of the lid.

The beer tasted fine but now it looks like dead yeast is floating to the top of the beer (S04) or it might be small bubbles.  It started at 1050 and now is at 1011.

Should I just keep going along a bottle it or can I add anything?

Thanks

Dusty

What does it taste like?

I'd worry more about taste than visual stuff – yeast or small bubbles on the surface – unless it has an obvious pellicle.

Of course mould under the lip isn't good but you might luck out in that it hasn't touched the beer.
