OK - i'm new to the forum and should probably had gone through the history to find this answer. I have some PBW cleaner and Star San sanitiser. I understand which is which but am confused about how to use ether one. Initially I want to clean a batch of bottles for my next brew and then will need to clean a brew bucket (once the liquid is in the clean bottles). Some of the on line information I have read indicated hot water (how hot?) and 48 hours of soaking. Can someone please just claify how much of each is needed, water temperatures and length of time etc. Also the Star San info talks about 'foam' and not rinsing this out - again clarification is sought. Basic stuff I know but I have read that the most important bit of brewing (apart from drinking) is the cleaning.
Thanks in advance. Mike.
