No, this is not a condom advert...

There is no feeling like kegging (or bottling) a homebrew, having the first of the batch, and really enjoying it. Even if it is not an award winning beer, or one that others really enjoy, when you do, it is priceless.

The Kohatu Pale Ale I brewed a few weeks ago came out lovely. It is not a hop head beer, but interesting nonetheless. It is even 'sessionable' at 5.5%.

Sorry folks, this was not meant as bragging, just enjoying a beer that came out the way I planned. Thank you to those that gave me advice on the recipe.

Cheers Michael.  Enjoy it while you can.  Beers that feel like that tend to not last very long and usually get given away more than others.

I know what you mean, sometimes it all just comes together and it's great.
Othertimes your hop(e)s can be dashed completely
Enjoy it

I do know that feeling as of recently. What I don't know about is waiting two weeks for that first taste:-) You show great maturity there Michael.

Is that an 'Old Joke?'

;P

It wasn't intended, but I guess it could be:-P
