so i started my build during the week and forgot to take some photos but i had some good headway today and took some photos throughout
had a mate bring his tig welder around this morning so welded some sockets into the keggles

looking good!
are those pumps 240v? can you just pull them out and connect them to a switch? do you know anything of the solenoids that are in various appliances?
the reason i ask is i want to add glycol cooling to my fermentation cabinet and cheap/free bits from old appliances would be perfect on my budget!
cheers
martin
hey yea those pumps for standard cap start 240v motors and yea you can just pull them out and connect to a switch.
yea i know a little bit about solenoids and what not there is a huge range of different solenoids and pumps in dishwashers and washing machines that you should be able to pick up reasonably cheep i choose these pumps as they were lying around the workshop so worked out perfect
i don't no much about glycol cooling but i know enough about fridges and what not to bluff my way thru installing this into my next project

its a large dehumidifier so will be able to use the compressor and make up my own cooling coil using 1/4 in copper tubing i plan to wrap that around a keg after i have welded the conical bottom on it
cheers
i'm thinking of a similar system using a dehumidifier or ac unit to cool the water/glycol then a pump and manifold of solenoids to direct the cooling liquid to the correct fermenter, i was thinking of using transmission oil coolers and computer fans to cool but i'm open to other ideas, especially if parts can be scrounged for free!
been busy again today got most of the stand finished
made up my pump mounts
