Firstly; I am in no way associated with Mikes; although the following comment may lead you to believe otherwise. I have been blessed; through luck to taste this beer curtsy of Ryan @ GO VINO in Hamilton.

Simply it is Hop Paradise In Balance; and I am no hop head.

I leave you to be the judge.

I just had a thought last night Richie...

If you like this beer - be sure to check out the other IPAs brewed here in New Zealand. Off the top of my head, you should definately check out:

Epic Armageddon
Hallertau Maximus
8 Wired Brewing Hopwired
Twisted Hop IPA

I'm sure there are others - but I don't get out and about all that much. Keep in mind also that Mikes IPA is brewed to the imperial IPA style so the alcohol and hops are a lot more prominant than in the IPA style.
