Malt suppliers in Nelson?

I've been extract brewing for six months now but want to make the leap into partial/AG.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere local to Nelson city that will sell me a 25kg sack of pale malt and at what price?

I'm not aware of any decent home brew stores in Nelson, unless things have changed recently?

 

You could try asking some of the local breweries about buying a sack off them, that would probably be the easiest.

 

Otherwise I'm pretty sure that Dunedin Malt House has fairly reasonable freight options within the South Island. And Trevor was recently talking about maybe running a bit of a sale on sacks of grain.

If you want Gladfields or Malteurop then go to the Sprig and Fern brewery they also sell Munich and Crystal.

If there are other malts you want then a few of the local guys buy a sack then split as well.

You could try contacting brewshop.co.nz and see if they could sort something out. I think they sell grains of all sorts by the kg so could be promising

Just got back from the sprig and fern with 27kg of grain.

Now for the hard   fun part, turning it into beer...
