Hi there

I've got the following for sale.  Will leave it open here for a week and a bit before putting on Trademe later in January.

One Barley Crusher Malt Mill.  Just under 3 years old, bought new from US.  In good nick, and I haven't done any adjustments to it or adapted for a drill or anything.  I've hand cranked about 200kg through it in that time.  I'd like $120 for it, and if it needs to be shipped somewhere that'll be additional (i'm in Wgtn).

One Wyeast 1769 West Yorkshire.  Bought in the last (nov/dec 2010) yeast order.  $20.

Sundry malt, including 5kg Global Vienna, 5kg Halcyon Pale, 5kg nz pils, 1kg caramunich, some carafa I and II.  $20 the lot.  Wgtn only unless you're also buying the mill.

Books, $5 each to cover postage (free if you're in wgtn and can meet me to pick up).

- Dave Line, Buying beers like those you buy (1979 edition i think).

- Dave Miller, The Complete Handbook of Homebrewing.  Quite a good text this one, though not very sexy and a bit superseded by some of the online stuff.  Taught me a lot though, and his recipes are straightforward (eg.  Vienna lager is 100% Vienna malt....)

- Charlie Papazian The new complete Joy of Homebrewing.  Was great when I was a student homebrewer back in the 1990s, but basically a bit of a history item now.  8tsp CaSo4 in your oatmeal stout recipe anyone?

I've also got an almost new (like really almost new) red italian capper - $15.

Email me at eddetchon@yahoo.co.nz if you're interested.  I'm happy to answer any questions via this thread (can post pics of the malt mill too if anyone wanted to see them....).  I'll post updates too if things are sold or when I transfer any or all of this stuff to trademe.

Gee, there's some good buys there!
You packing up and shipping out to the Fatherland Ed? I've missed you around the traps these last couple of years...

Hi Stu

Nah, not yet anyway, though maybe mid 2012.  Have got a lot on this year, with study, going for another dan grading in karate, and things like that, and don't really need to be drinking so much.  Plus, one of the reasons I got into brewing again back in 2004 was the relative paucity of good quality beer on the shelves and taps of NZ.  That is no longer an issue!

Here you go Mr Cherry - just the yeast you were looking for!
Good spotting Stu .  I had dismissed this due to the 1769.

i'm afraid it is already spoken for......

Right, as of 5 Jan 10.50am, I've got offers on the Mill, and the malt and yeast, so no need to email me with enquiries.  Great to see there's so much interest out there in quality homebrewing.
