I recently visited the Monteiths brewery in Greymouth. I was waiting for it to open when I wandered around the back and noticed they had a smoko area with these big Hop vines growing. I picked about 8 hop cones, and snipped the vine off. I've kept it in a bottle of pump H2O since and am hoping (LOL) it will eventually grow roots so I can plant it. I have no idea what kind of hops they are, they have a very nice citrus/lemon/pine taste but are not too strong. I think they *may* be Motueka hops but am not sure. Anyone here got any tips for me on how to grow these? What sort of temperature, soil etc?

You want to buy some clonex for the cutting to get roots, then chuck it in potting mix and water.

They like warmer weather.

You could always call Montheiths and ask - they might be Radlerzomes not rhizomes
Watch out that hop cutting may be trademarked!!
