Hi,

So 3 weeks ago i kegged my first beer.

Everything was going well.

After a week i started sampling.

After 2 weeks it was working great.

Then half way through the week a mate came over and i went to pour a beer.

It wouldn't pour (we ended up drinking some bottles).

To narrow down the problem I have tried a few things.

The gas side is fine (beer is carbed and keg is pressurized).

I have removed and cleaned/sanitized the dip tube and poppet.

When i push down on the poppet it sprays beer.

I have bought a second beer disconnect and changed it over.

So as stated if I push down on the poppet with a screwdriver beer sprays out. I figure this means that the issue is after that.

Unless the brand new disconnect is faulty it should be that.

That leaves the beer line and the picnic tap.

Could either of these be causing the issue?

Cheers for any help/ advice.

In the past I have had issues when the beerline is touching the evaporator plate (in older fridges) and the beer has frozen in the line plugging it.

Not much to go wrong in a picnic tap have you tried unscrewing the valve body of the tap and reconnecting the keg to see if beer flows.

Got it sorted after i didn't full degas and it shot a litre or so of beer all over the floor. So am guessing it was some kind of blockage somewhere. Wife has told me it's playing up again so maybe a temp fix. Cheers for the advice guys.
