Just moved to Auckland... need equipment!

Hi guys,

 

I just moved to Auckland a few weeks ago from Canada and need to buy some gear. Great forum you have here... seems a great local community!

 

I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction of where I can get some equipment.

 

Specificly I need to find a kettle and a burner.But to be honest I need to buy everything again as I didn't bring any gear with me from Canada.

 

Burner wise I've been to some hardware stores and seen the green propane burners... but theres no stands that I can tell. Can you guys make some recommendations?

 

Kettle wise I was thinking of buying an all stainless 50 L steel keg off of these guys... http://kegresources.co.nz/keg01/products/kegs-second-hand.html

 

If I went that route I'd need to find somebody in town here to help me convert it... any leads there would also be appreciated as I've no tools here to do it on my own. 

 

For all the other gear such as fermenters and the like... I've found this brew shop online that seems pretty good. http://www.brewerscoop.co.nz/index.html

Brewerscoop is a great retail store - the best in Ak for your basic brewing supplies
IMO. 
Do you brew all grain? I'll be flogging a 40l mashtun and a 40l 3kw electric urn in the next few
Weeks.

Thanks for the info... I don't do all grain myself. Mostly I've just done extract brewing in the past.

 

Going to dive into BIAB here in Auckland and see how it goes.
