Hey guys, even without even trying my beer yet I'm hooked haha. I think it will work out better value(cheaper) to buy my grains hops and yeast all separately rather than as a Recipe Kit. I have a good set of digital scales so figure that's the way to from here. Can anyone share there lone recipes, I particularly like Monteith's Beer but will try others, my mate did a Extract Clone of Guinness and said it was real good! and I found Brewer's Scoop (I think it's called) has a big range of ingredients. Look forward to reading some of your recipes.
Cheers
Daza.

Check out the groups page. there is a group dedicated to clone brews.
checked it out and not a lot of action there. Doesn't matter don't really need to copy others anyway eh? I have a great book and it explains how to make each recipe your own!
yeah, not alo of action recently, but if you join the group, there are numerous threads on different clone beer. from yakima monster to other maerican style beers like stone etc.
always wortha look to get inspiration at the very least.
Why clone....When I first started I did LOTS of SMaSH brews(google it), To find out how each ingredient especially hops presented themselves and they are real cheap to make. To this day thats what I still predominantly brew
Some Clones are good, it gives you an idea of where you stand compared to the commercial version.
Look at Epic Pale ale Clone, Brewers make wort, Yeast makes Beer, so it tests out your fermentation process, and you can evaluate the beer you made against the commercial version, to find any possible flaws....
I think making the classic Guinness stout would be awesome!
I personally shop at allgrain.co.nz....Biggest range and best service
Thanks I just made an enquiry with them, cheers.
