Glass Bottles

Hey there,

Does anyone know the best/cheapest place to source glass beer bottles? Preferably 500ml. Have tried looking online but the best price I can get is around $1 a bottle.

Any help would be much appreciated

I'd suggest a drinking session, then you'll get a few. otherwise, try some local craft bars, they'll be happy to help most of the time, they may ask for a couple of beers in return.

You could try http://www.smartbottles.co.nz , but when you include shipping to Nelson it might still exceed $1 per bottle.

Alternatively you could talk to a local brewery. However, be aware that many craft brewers have switched to one way glass (non-refillable bottles). I know that Renaissance use refillable bottles and when I enquired a while back they were willing to sell some, but I got a delivery from Smartbottles before we got round to talking about price.
