I've been (trying) to brew on the bunnings 2 ring gas burners. When they work right they're good but so far I've returned two burners for casting defects and today this happened:

The regulator hose looked pretty impressive whipping round on fire. And luckily I managed to salvage the wort by finishing it on the stove.

Guess I'll be returning the burner and regulator and looking for something more reliable.

Golly. That looks a bit exciting!!

Where are you Hutch? Gaslink in Sydenham Chch have some decent burners and adjustable regulators...

Palmy... It'll teach me for going the cheap route.

Holy crap, and to think I'm using burners from Mitre10.

Hey I've forwarded this link to Bunnings. Looks like flames came back up the air inlet right? New Years fireworks show?

Regardless I'd get it back to them quick if I were you.

Ok, I'm looking for a replacement burner now. Trawling through the forum I see that most people either have the mongolian burners or the italian spirals.

Has anyone tried this : Gasmate Wok burner it looks a bit better quality than the rest of the range.

Hutch I brew with one of these in Indonesia, its awesome! Just throw a adjustable high pressure reg on that bad boy and you'll be ripping into it (in a good way).

Thats what I use mate, perfect.

Check amazon for Jet Gas Burner, a heap on there from king kooker and bayou

What reg did you match with that Liam?

I got mine from kink kooker direct and a pair or high pressure regs with them.  Worth looking at Bayou as well, they do some mean jet burners and sell the regs with it.  I'm pretty sure any adjustable high pressure reg will do.

Actually have it at the bottom of the burner page but mine is not the stainless option, just plastic pipe

Very inexpensive and shipping is not much as a pair fit into the small size shipping boxes.

I did look to import these amonst other things but a minimum order or 5000 units was a bit steep :)

Great burners though, sounds like you have a jet plane in the workshop!
