I wouldn't waste my money getting drunk on Epic. After the first six or so you stop noticing the flavour (with any beer, not just Epic) so it's good beer and money down the drain. Might as well drink a six of epic and then switch to double brown if you wanna get your buzz on.

But your come back is legendary, and might also like to use it, puts it in perspective nicely.

Slab and a half of doublebrownbier. Less with Monteith's Black cause its 5.2% instead of 4%, therefore heaps better.

Reminds me of the time I was purchasing a single bottle of Emerson's Bourbon Porter and there was a guy in front of me at the counter buying a dozen Renfurly Draught (for $1 less than my single bottle).

if we are telling price stories I have friends in Tauranga. The check out woman in the local supermarket called for a price check as she couldn't believe a six pack could possible be worth $19.95, and thought it was an error. And it wasn't. I'm sure she had in the back of her mind how many doublebrownbier she could get for that much.
