Been there and done that! Now I dont carbonate through the beer out post and never fill keg so the Gas in tube is covered! I got my check valves through Craftbrewer, but at $25A plus freight, they are not cheap, but cheaper than a new regulator. They take 6mm tube OD tube and look like these (12mm) which are a lot cheaper!.

I trim all of my Gas in tubes so they are flush with the inside of the keg. I've even left them out altogether in my Firestone kegs as they are not needed to provide a seal.

Brendon, try Compressed Air Controls in New Plymouth. They don't have the catalogue online any more, but they should stock these(I got some from there a couple of years ago)

or the doubles

Or FlowTech in Tauranga (their site is under going construction ATM, but they are very helpful via email.)

I've got these, if it would work for you. Fits regs with 1/4" NPT threads.

Bough a few from Ebay (China) a while ago US $6.42... + US $2 for shipping.

It seems to be one of those things, nobody tells you how easy it is to get the beer into the gas line.... And even with valves, there's always some beer in the gas line connector/hose, how do you sterilize that?!?
