Cheap but accurate scales

As the old adage goes, you can have it cheap accurate or fast: pick three.

That's how i feel about the little scale I bought off trademe recently. I bought it off this seller  though others have them but for a few dollars more:

0.01g x500g scale

It turned up the day after i ordered it.

I used the calibration weights at work to check how well it workedI tried quite a few weight combinations including loading it with larger weights then using the tare function.As you can see its more accurate than I could ever expect and certainly accurate enough for salt additions.

10 grams

100 grams (read 100.21g) tared plus 1 gram

pretty good for $20 plus $8 post!
