I have recently purchased a Raspberry Pi with the intention of being able to log and control fermentation temps in a number of different fridges, final aim is remote control of these so profiles can be fermented and changed while away.

It seems that brewpi now sell there own high end shield,  has anyone on here put there own control shield together and attached to Pi?

I followed this HOWTO and got mine up and running:

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

I've since tweaked the Arduino code to better suit my set-up and greatly improved the control. I've been very happy with the control (<0.1degC) and logging but the RaspberryPi tends to corrupt the SDCard from time-to-time. I keep a backup image of the SD from a fresh install to revert to when needed.

Let me know if you want any other tips/trick/code.
