Cool story! I dont think the commercial reference at the end spoils it, I say good on em for patenting it as it was obviously a massive amount of work to derive the strain.

  What a fascinating story - thanks for sharing. What a noble use this discovery was put to - the creation of a truly unique beer. There's something poetic about that. I too wish they had elected to keep the brewing process within the small microbrewery, but then I don't know who the commercial guys are - maybe they have a decent pedegree?
