Well $42 incl booking fee.

Apparently they dropped the price of the $80 'seats' to $40, they were classed on the ticketek website as 'sanctuary' seating, but didn't look like there was anywhere I couldn't get to, except maybe the mosh-pit area.

I just tried to order some more US-05 and the proprietor told me, somewhat dubiously, that there is none left in the country. Say it ain't so?

It's a bit of a Mickey Mouse set up. Getting blood from a stone is easier. I've tried to get a supply of dry yeast. I got virtaully no response from local suppliers (i.e Australians) until I sent an email to Fermentis complaining. Then I got a 30 minute phone call! Supplier wanted me to go through Brewcraft but obviously Brewcraft don't want to deal with me because I'm not one of their stores. They told me they wouldn't deal with me unless I open a physical store (no doubt with their hideous branding all over it). There was some hope for a while but it ran out of puff. I'm still following up other avenues but it ain't easy... until then, let morebeer and craftbrewer be your friends.

As for Mike's LHBS, well I'm not surprised. The last time I was in there the fridge was almost devoid of hops, the grain was $10/kg and I was told that business was booming.
Well it ain't booming with beer, it's a spirits shop. I don't like the idea of Welly not having a HBS, but sometimes I don't think I'd miss it

Brewer's Coop is choice as, never seen any grain at the price and there's always something in the fridge?

It aint so. I've just been to brewcraft Mt Eden - and they have somw 2010exp stock... nice and fresh. I have some for my IIPA!

Just been at Brewcraft mt Eden? Galbraith's is across the road and opens in ten minutes. Lucky bugger...
