Another Brown this weekend
The last was a scrumptious 1.036 / 1.012 and 3%'ish.
I haven't been drinking much of it, I took it off tap to put the Coopers in the fridge.
This version's clocking in at an unusually high 1.047 for me and 30 IBU
Same recipe, just scaled up but tipping the balance a bit more in favour of the hops

Planning an early start as usual, with the added incentive to get cleared up and off to Chris's for the North Welly get-together later in the day
I know there's the first tasting of the North Welly Porter (tell me it's true guys ???) and Coopers Lager up for the Granny Smith taste test
The North Welly Porter must be one of the most highly anticipated beers at the moment. No one has the foggiest idea what it's like and it's oh so limited. :D
you sure you haven't tried it ?
I'm just trying to build the hype...
I bet Michael's tried it, d'you reckon ?
This one is on the boil as I type.

haven't tried it either Barry, let me know if it's worth a go eh ?
Oh I can tell you already from the smell it's worth a go.
I was at Brewers Coop on Wednesday buying another sack of malt and they happened to have some. Smelled delicious so I got a couple hundred grams. Not cheap but the 2 beers I make with it are going to be awesome. Next one will be a brown ale.
A few new yeasts arrived in the post and the weather has cooled off... the real brewing season is abou to kick off.

Now that I'm back to 5 days a week for a while it may have to include the odd after work brew.
