Damn you!! I thought I might have a chance at that one. ;-)
Now that it's out in the open, does anyone know the Homark beer engines well? What typically needs replacing? Availability of parts?
HAHAH sorry bro
Dougal,
The pump looks identical to mine and the UK agents for HOMARK were Hallamshire, www.hallamshire.co.uk back in 1999 when I was working in the UK for Y2K. I ordered two sets of spare parts for mine and they were quite a reasonable price at the time. The spares kits came with all new internal parts including the diaphragm and all new O rings. If you get it, I would disassemble the pump and check what needs replacing. If the diaphragm is ok then you could source all of the O rings from your local engineering supplier. Just make sure they are food grade (I think most of them are). I replaced everything in mine but the valve parts and diaphragm didn't really need replacing. I replaced everything because I had the complete kit.
Hope this helps.
Pete.
Thanks Pete.
What is the pull on these? Quarter or half pint?
Just popped out to the bar to check ... Hic!
Mine poured 310ml which is .54552374 Imperial Pints :-)
This may suit someone, 57L pot (although my calcs suggest 62L) with outlet.
