The annual Regional Beer and Cheese tasting has become one of the most anticipated tastings on the Regional calendar. With a history which has included farmhouse origins, mass industrialization and a recent artisan renaissance, beer and cheese have a lot in common. In a practical sense beer and cheese work really well together with matches often finding complexity, contrast and harmony all at once!
From the humble ploughman’s Lunch to the decadent dessert of barley wine and blue vein, join Regional Beer Specialist and former Cheesemonger Kieran Haslett-Moore as he presents a series of beer and cheese matches which explore the different ways in which beer and cheese can work together. This years tasting will present some tried and true matches from previous years along with a number of new ‘experimental’ combinations.
Be sure to book in quick as these tastings are always extremely popular.
Thursday 25 or Friday 26 March, 6.00 pm start, or Saturday 27th March 1pm start, Cost $45.00, Limit 30 places each session.
