Hi Peter , I found them on Trade Me under 'Hungi baskets' made by specially wire and tube in Onehunga, I am going to manufacture some tee handles so it can be lifted and suspended over the wort for a sparge.

I am pleased with the quality and did wonder about the plating myself, I think as long as it is reasonably well looked after and not twisted and damaged it will be fine, it is not going be involved in the boiling part, but this is all new to me Peter like most things it will be all trial and tears.

If theres tears then stop what you're doing and get another homie on board... im pretty new to the biab too but enjoying the results so far. Thanks for the info on the basket

interesting, I've been told that the plating isn't really suitable, and wont last long, keep us posted on how it goes.
